Valentine Cards!!

With the New Year comes resolutions...so one of those resolutions should be to get our Challenges back into the swing of things. With all we have to do in life, we need to set out a few hours each month (at least!) to have some creative time.

So this month the challenge will be to make Valentine Cards or a Valentine Layout.

Yay to the New Year!!!

This probably qualifies as a card/layout.:) - Liz

Cardstock: Bazzill; Ribbon & Letters: KI Memories; heart button: WalMart; Chipboard brackets: American Crafts
Linda:I finally completed this challenge...after Valentine's day--doh...I will just have to sell it next year.for some reason, I wanted to use black cardstock...yeah, I know it is a valentine :p I have had the red swirl paper for ages!! Probably since 2004!! The hearts are brad which I have also had for a really long time. The ribbon is new...from Michaels this year. I wasn't sure if I was going to have any wording on the card...but then I remembered that I wanted to use this e.e. cummings poem and the hearts linked to each other fit so perfectly! I broke out the Cricut and used Curlz font for the letter. Inside...the poem (and font) continues "(i carry it in my heart)". I love that poem since Untamed Heart!!!

Mission: Organization

We will get our Scrapbook Rooms organized...someday :)

While Organizing...extra points if you take inventory and add it to your creative planner.

~Paper--organized and labeled
~Note from Linda "My name is Linda and I am a Paperholic" While going through my paper, I have found so many pieces of paper I forgot I have bought. Too much paper!!! I can make like 100 albums and still not use up all the paper...But I do have 6 Slabs from Michaels...so if we don't count those, I don't have THAT much :)
As I am labeling and sorting through the paper, I am making sure to list the papers I have to add to my planner...I hope to be done soon.

Liz:
I already had my printed paper organized by manufacturer and cardstock by color, but rearranged my cubes a bit. I had a third cube for paper, but consolidated some of my fave manufacturers (they get their own Cropper Hopper) weren't filled up even half way. I then added the two 3-drawer cubes underneath, and the third paper cube then went over to the other side of the room and will now be used for more of my idea books (see below). -- Liz

Inspired by Linda, the top part will house an unused file cube (minus the drawer) and will be a tool table of sorts. -- Liz

Challenge #8 ~ Scrapbook those silly photos!

I guess these would be photos that you wouldn't even think of normally scrapping. Maybe you made a crazy-looking face one day and it happened to get caught on camera. I'm sure I've got a ton of those somewhere! :)

Challenge # 7 ~ Celebrity Stalker

Something fun to add to that "all about me" album...if you were a stalker...which celebrity would you stalk?

Challenge #6 ~ Make Your Own Chipboard Accents

Notes from Linda: ok...I kind of made them...I used the Whale of a Punch that I got from Ms. Liz :) and a Sizzix music note die I had. Since we went to Disneyland during the 50th Anniversary so I used the gold...not the most embellished...not the most creative...but I could use it when I work on that album again :)
